Post: Celebrating 45 With A Fashion Statement

Celebrating 45 With A Fashion Statement

Celebrating 45 With A Fashion Statement

Christine Lingerie had the distinct honor of being invited to showcase a selection of our current collections at “A FASHION STATEMENT”, an annual showcase of great Canadian design sponsored by Westbank and the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA). Hosted at the illustrious Fairmont Pacific Rim, this event proved to be the perfect capstone in the celebrations for Christine’s 45 years in business.
This showcased Christine alongside four truly spectacular Canadian designers – DiCarlo Couture, Nonie – House of Nonie, Victoria Hayes, and UNTTLD whom descended upon Vancouver from every corner of the country to amaze us with their aesthetic.

Guests were treated to flutes of champagne, live music, and delectable canapés as they eagerly awaited the fashion show. The lower atrium of the venue was completely transformed by the glitterati who arrived in their style. Vancouver’s finest influencers, media outlets, style icons, and fashion industry flocked to the event, it was quite the spectacle!
Christine chose to showcase her current Fall collection , which is quite the fashion statement on its own! Christine styled the first half of the show with pieces from her Fabergéand Phoenix collections. Luscious black cherry devoré velvet played foil to our grand hand painted Phoenix print. Set in rich tones of turquoise and eggplant, these pieces were the perfect opener for the more dramatic, holiday inspired look. Then the English Rose collection enhanced the Diva designs. The warm golds and flecks of crimson in this  print brought out the ruby red in her Diva Collection. Christine created a show stopping finale piece exclusively for this event, a red charmeuse evening gown with black lace that dipped into a provocatively low back. An opulent black chiffon robe dripping in matching chantilly lace topped the ensemble, and its cathedral length train floated along the runway.
Post show, guests gathered in the upper ballrooms to take a look at the collections close up, and maybe purchase a treasure or two! Christine even got in to the spirit of things and purchased a beautiful tailored jacket from UNTTLD. Every designer showed outstanding collections, we left the event feeling truly inspired by all the homegrown talent.
