The Signature Chemise, inspired by a piece from 2002, is an elegantly bias-cut silk charmeuse slip with a silk chiffon flounce at the hem. A truly stunning Chantilly lace bedecks the bust line, along with one of Christines signature handmade rosettes.

What quality silk does Christine use? The Signature Chemise is made from luxurious, 19mm silk. With a fine and diaphanous silk chiffon flounce at the hem
Why isn’t thread count used when talking about silk? Silk is an incredibly fine fibre, and thread counts would be extremely high, regardless of the quality of the silk. So for example, a low-quality silk may have a similarly high thread count to a high-quality silk. For this reason, silk uses an alternative system to measure quality, called momme (mm) weight.
What is momme weight? Momme weight describes the weight of 100 yards of silk, 45 inches wide, in pounds. So, if a fabric is listed with a momme weight of 16mm, it means that 100 yards of the fabric weighs 16 pounds. The best silk lingerie is 19mm or 19 pounds in weight per 100 yards.
